Indiana Transition Trainings
Trainings provided by Indiana Secondary Transition Resource Center staff include regional trainings, held annually throughout the state, to update education professionals about opportunities or changes to transition policy or to assist them with constructing compliant, quality transition IEPs. We make announcements about upcoming regional trainings here on this page, in Tuesday's Transition Tips, and via email.
At its annual Capacity Building Institute, usually held in April, INSTRC joins with the state Department of Education to welcome the state’s Cadres of Transition Leaders together for a day of education and networking opportunities.
You can find past INSTRC trainings and resources under the Archived Trainings and Materials tab, located on the left side of your screen.
2017 The Transition IEP: Ensuring a Quality, Compliant, and Student-Focused Process
In September 2017 staff from the Indiana Secondary Transition Resource Center presented six regional Transition IEP trainings throughout the state. This presentation, from the October 4 webinar provided transition educators with updates on changes to the transition process, implications of Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services' new Order of Selection rule, the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), and the Certificate of Completion.
