Indiana Transition Trainings
Trainings provided by Indiana Secondary Transition Resource Center staff include regional trainings, held annually throughout the state, to update education professionals about opportunities or changes to transition policy or to assist them with constructing compliant, quality transition IEPs. We make announcements about upcoming regional trainings here on this page, in Tuesday's Transition Tips, and via email.
At its annual Capacity Building Institute, usually held in April, INSTRC joins with the state Department of Education to welcome the state’s Cadres of Transition Leaders together for a day of education and networking opportunities.
You can find past INSTRC trainings and resources under the Archived Trainings and Materials tab, located on the left side of your screen.

The Transition IEP: Ensuring a Quality, Compliant, and Student-Focused Process
INSTRC staff will present six September trainings this fall throughout Indiana, updating transition educators on changes to the transition process, implications of Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services' new Order of Selection rule, the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). Breakout sessions this year will address the separate needs of teachers who are new to transition and veterans in the field.
For those who can't attend a face-to-face training, INSTRC staff will also present the information in an online webinar on October 4. (Infomation on registration for the webinar alternative will be available here soon, or will be delivered via Tuesday's Transition Tips, or in an email to you!)
For more information and to register for any of the six face-to-face trainings, download the 2017 Regional Trainings registration flyer.
